The City of Coquitlam held a general local election on Oct. 15, 2022 to elect one mayor, eight councillors, and four school trustees (for School District Number 43).   View the election results (PDF). 

More recently, the City of Coquitlam held a by-election on Feb. 22, 2025 to elect one school trustee (for School District Number 43).   View the election results (PDF). View the Determination of Official Election Results (PDF). 

The next general local election will be held on October 17, 2026. The City of Coquitlam holds elections in accordance with the Local Government Act, the Community Charter and the School Act.
