Coquitlam believes that public art and cultural recognition contributes to Coquitlam’s identity as a diverse community with a vibrant cultural scene. As a result in 2011, a Public Art Policy and Program Plan (PDF) was created.
The City cares for over 35 works of public art pieces throughout the City. Some of these pieces have been created as a part of a larger project, such as the expansion of the Evergreen Extension of the Skytrain in 2014 or the commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Coquitlam in 2016. Explore the collection today.
Experience Coquitlam’s creativity with a self-guided public art tour. Explore unique murals and sculptures throughout the community and discover the stories behind them. Additional tours will be introduced later this year.
