An Official Community Plan amendment application has been received for lands south of Smiling Creek Elementary School and Park (3421 and 3435 Galloway Avenue).
The application by Morningstar Homes and Infinity Properties is proposing to change the land use from School/Park to Conventional Townhomes, Neighbourhood Parks and Natural Open Spaces, and Environmentally Sensitive Area.
The City’s Parks Planning team provided some information about how the proposed land use change aligns with the City’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Master Plan at a Public Information Meeting on Jan. 17, 2023. For those who were unable to attend, the presentation boards (PDF) are available.
