30 more aquatic leadership programs per year;
Up to 20 new spin classes per week;
21 new pieces of fitness equipment;
More free weight and stretching space; and
More frequent childminding sessions.
Timing & Next Steps
Council approved the final design and budget in December 2020, and construction is anticipated to begin February 2021, with completion anticipated by Fall 2021.
The aquatic areas will remain open during construction except during the regular annual maintenance shutdown in September. Some of the CCAC’s fitness equipment will be temporarily relocated to the nearby Innovation Centre (1207 Pinetree Way) to provide some continuity of service.
