Significant improvements were completed during September 2019. A beloved Burquitlam-Lougheed area park for decades, the 5.3-acre (2.2-hectare) green space was identified as a priority for redevelopment to meet the needs of the evolving neighbourhood.

Funding
Upgrades and extension of the funding for the upgrades included a $400,000 contribution from the Onni Group.
Timeline
Winter 2017

Summer 2018
- Construction of utility and pathway improvements - Fairview/Dogwood Greenway from Austin Avenue to Brookmere Avenue with new multi-use path and lighting
- Public engagement sessions on future of the park
Spring 2019
- Construction began on new park features
