COQUITLAM, B.C., Aug. 12, 2021 – Coquitlam will re-launch an updated discount ONE PASS program next month, as more of the City’s drop-in activities begin to return to normal.
The ONE PASS program – which provides unlimited access to drop-in aquatics, arena, fitness and gym programs and activities – is available for purchase as of Thursday, Sept. 2 with some modifications after more than a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic. Rates for all existing pass types remain at March 2020 levels, and a new option is being introduced as less-popular passes are retired.
ONE PASS Program Updated
Coquitlam began to reintroduce drop-in activities Aug. 9 and will continue to expand programming following the anticipated move to Step 4 of BC's Restart Plan on Sept. 7.
An updated, simplified ONE PASS program will go on sale Sept. 2 as activities gear up, phasing out the temporary discounts the City has offered since last summer for pre-registered drop-in activities through its Community Support and Recovery Plan (CSRP).
ONE PASS cards are valid starting Tuesday, Sept. 7 at any Coquitlam recreation facility and provide visitors with discounts based on frequency of visits. Different rates are offered for children up to age 12, youth/students age 13 to 18, adults, seniors age 65 to 84, and super seniors age 85-plus.
Options to Meet a Variety of Needs
The new streamlined ONE PASS structure still provides a variety of discount options to regular users:
- 10-visit Pass – may be shared with family or friends of the same age bracket and has a two-year expiry;
- 30-day Pass – a non-transferable pass paid up-front and valid for 30 calendar days;
- New 30-day Continuous Pass – automatic monthly renewal with a three-month minimum commitment, offering deeper discounts than the regular 30-day pass and greater flexibility than the 365-day pass; and
- 365-day Pass – a non-refundable, non-transferable and non-extendable pass paid up-front and valid for a year.
Due to low uptake, the 50-visit and 120-day (four-month) passes are being discontinued.
