[ARCHIVED] Register for November and December Recreation Programs on Sept. 22

Family mixing science experiments

COQUITLAM, B.C., Sept. 16, 2021 – Registration for Coquitlam’s November and December recreation programs begins Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m. 

Offerings Available for All Ages

Coquitlam provides a wide array of recreation opportunities for all ages and abilities, such as: 

  • Skating and swimming lessons 
  • Early years – dance, sports and active play, and adult and child options
  • Children and youth – visual arts, performing arts and winter camps
  • Adult – activity groups, group fitness, and talks and workshops

Registration Information

November and December registration options will be viewable online Monday, Sept. 20 at www.coquitlam.ca/registration. Online registration is available 24/7 and begins on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 8:30 a.m. Register in-person starting Thursday, Sept. 23 at 8:30 a.m., or by phone at 604-927-4386 weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except for statutory holidays), and weekends 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Health Protocols at City Recreation Facilities

Masks are currently required indoors for anyone age 12 and older (removal permitted during sports and fitness activities). 

Proof of vaccination, as required by B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer, applies to certain indoor social and recreation activities at Coquitlam recreation centres. Proof of a first vaccination is currently required, and proof of full immunization will be required as of Oct. 24. Financial Assistance Available for Recreation

It is now easier than ever to access financial support for Coquitlam’s recreation services. The City has relaunched a more user-friendly Financial Assistance for Recreation program – formerly known as Get Connected, Get Active – with easier sign-up and income verification plus more flexibility than ever. Each year, qualifying Coquitlam residents will receive 50 free drop-in visits plus a $225 credit they can use for an expanded range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, exam fees, supplies, equipment rentals and more.
