Coquitlam Outdoor Pools Closed to the Public on Select Dates

Eagleridge Outdoor Pool Diving Boards

COQUITLAM, BC, Aug. 18, 2021 – Both of Coquitlam’s outdoor pools will be host to a number of sporting events over the next two weeks, resulting in cancellations of public swimming opportunities.

Drop-In Swimming Closures at Outdoor Pools

Spani and Eagle Ridge outdoor pools will be unavailable for drop-in public swimming opportunities during these times.

Spani outdoor pool will be closed to the public:

  • Saturday, Aug. 21 – all day
  • Sunday, Aug. 22 – all day

Eagle Ridge outdoor pool will be closed to the public:

  • Saturday, Aug. 21 from 1-2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC) and Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (PSLC) will remain open during this time with lap and leisure swimming as well as whirlpools, dry sauna and steam rooms options available. Pre-registration is no longer required for drop-in swimming at any of our pools; however capacity limits will still be in-place at this time. We recommend calling ahead if you are unsure about wait times. The City also has nine outdoor spray pads that will allow you to cool off outdoors. For more information about our pools, visit www.coquitlam.ca/swimming.
