Learn How to Safely Co-Exist with Coyotes

Saturday, February 25, 2023

Coyote breeding season is underway, which means coyotes will be more vocal and active as they secure their territory between now and April. Minimizing conflicts between coyotes, humans and pets is important in protecting the safety of our community, and our urban wildlife.

Presented by Nadia Xenakis, the Urban Wildlife Programs Coordinator for the Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES), these one-hour sessions will provide information about the coyote breeding season and common misconceptions about urban coyotes, as well as tips to help keep your family and pets safe. This includes what to do if you encounter a coyote and ways to manage attractants. All ages are welcome to attend.
