Metro Vancouver's contractor will be completing lane reconfiguration work at the intersection of David Avenue and Pipeline Road, starting Thursday, October 9 to Sunday, October 12. Crews will work nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be impacted.

What: Metro Vancouver Coquitlam Water Main – Lane Reconfiguration Work (Removal/Installation of Concrete Barriers and Line Painting)

Where: Intersection of David Avenue and Pipeline Road (Location Map)

When: Thursday, October 9 to Sunday, October 12. Crews will work nightly during overnight  hours, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Traffic Impacts: Traffic will be impacted. To avoid delays, please plan for extra time or an alternate route.

Travel with caution through construction zones, watch for work crews and equipment, and obey all traffic personnel and signs, including construction speed limits. Thank you for your patience as Metro Vancouver's contractor completes this necessary work in the intersection.

The City's contractor will be completing overnight trench repair work at the intersection of Glen Dr and Johnson St. Work is scheduled to take place between October 6 to 8, 2025 (weather dependent), between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

What: Trench Repair Work and Line Painting

Where: Intersection at Glen Drive and Johnson Street (Location Map)

When: Work is scheduled to take place between October 6 to 8, 2025 (weather dependent). Work will take one to two nights to complete.  Crews will work overnight between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. nightly.

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic flow will be impacted and there will be temporary turn restrictions at the intersection.  Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

The City's contractor will be repaving Austin Ave between Gatensbury St to Schoolhouse St, starting on October 5 to 11 (weather dependent). Work will take place during the overnight hours between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Please plan alternate route.

What: Road Repaving

Where: Austin Avenue between Gatensbury Street to Schoolhouse Street (Location Map)

When: Sunday, October 5, 2025 to Saturday, October 11 (weather dependent). Due to high traffic volumes, work will take place during the overnight hours between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Traffic Impacts:  Traffic will be impacted. Signage and traffic control personnel will be in place to direct traffic.  During active construction, Gatensbury Street, from Austin Avenue to Ridgeway Avenue, will be fully closed.  Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

As part of the City's Pipeline Road Upgrade project, work continues along Pipeline Road between Guildford Way and Gabriola Drive. Please plan extra time when using this route or plan an alternate route to avoid delays.

 What: Pipeline Road Upgrades - Construction Update

Where: Pipeline Road from Guildford Way to Gabriola Drive

When: Ongoing to December 2025. Work will take place weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: At times, single lane alternating traffic will be in place, with possible turn restrictions at intersections. Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will be occasional detours. Please plan extra time when using this route or plan an alternate route to avoid delays.

The City's contractor will be completing underground work on Lincoln Ave, west of Pipeline Rd starting the week of Sept 8 for approximately three months. Crews will work Mon to Fri, 7 am to 7 pm., with potential Sat work. Traffic flow will be impacted.

What:  Water Main Work (Pressure Reducing Valve Upgrades)

Where: Lincoln Avenue, west of Pipeline Road  (Location Map)

When: Construction is scheduled to begin the week of September 8 and will take approximately three months to complete (weather dependent). Majority of the work will take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with potential Saturday work. There will be occasional night time work throughout the duration of the project. 

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic will be limited to single lane so there will be occasional delays.  Please plan extra time when using this route or plan alternate route.
