The City's contractor will be completing concrete work along along the west side of Pipeline Rd and Gabriola Dr west of Pipeline Rd, starting January 13 to 28 (weather permitting). Work will take place weekdays, 7am to 7pm and Saturdays, 9am to 6pm.

What: Pipeline Road Upgrades – Concrete Work

Where:  West side of Pipeline Road and Gabriola Drive west of Pipeline Road (Location Map)

When:  January 13 to January 28, 2026 (weather permitting). Work will take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic flow along Gabriola Drive will be impacted, with possible turn restrictions at the intersection. This section of roadway along Gabriola Drive will be left in compacted gravel for a number of days while work is being completed. Please drive carefully and with care. Please plan extra time when using this route.

Metro Vancouver will be starting work on the Stoney Creek Sewer Upgrade Project. The first phase of the project along Chapman Ave from Bole Crt and Gilroy Cres will start on January 12 and will be ongoing for 3-4 months, before moving to the next section.

What: Metro Vancouver Stoney Creek Sewer Upgrade Project - Phase 1

Where: Chapman Avenue between Bole Court and Gilroy Crescent (Location Map)

When: Construction will be starting the week of January 12, 2026. The first phase of the project starting at Chapman Avenue will take approximately 3-4 months to complete, and then will proceed down Gilroy Crescent in the next section.  

Traffic Impacts:  Traffic will be impacted.   Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

Travel with caution through construction zones, watch for work crews and equipment, and obey all traffic personnel and signs, including construction speed limits. Thank you for your patience as Metro Vancouver's contractor completes this necessary work.

Metro Vancouver's Dewdney Trunk Road Water Main project is currently underway on Dewdney Trunk Road between Lougheed Highway and Mariner Way and will be ongoing until April 2026. Traffic will be impacted.

When: Construction is underway and will be ongoing until April 2026.

Traffic Impacts:  Traffic will be limited to a single lane in each direction along Dewdney Trunk Road between Lougheed Highway and Mariner Way. Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

 What: Pipeline Road Upgrades - Construction Update

Where: Pipeline Road from Guildford Way to Gabriola Drive

When: Ongoing until early 2026 . Work will take place weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: At times, single lane alternating traffic will be in place, with possible turn restrictions at intersections. Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will be occasional detours. Please plan extra time when using this route or plan an alternate route to avoid delays.

The City's contractor will be completing underground work on Lincoln Ave, west of Pipeline Rd starting in mid-January for approximately three months. Crews will work Mon to Fri, 7 am to 7 pm., with potential Sat work. Traffic flow will be impacted.

What:  Water Main Work (Pressure Reducing Valve Upgrades)

Where: Lincoln Avenue, west of Pipeline Road  (Location Map)

When: Construction is scheduled to begin mid-January and will take approximately three months to complete (weather dependent). Majority of the work will take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with potential Saturday work. There will be occasional night time work throughout the duration of the project. 

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic will be limited to single lane so there will be occasional delays.  Please plan extra time when using this route or plan alternate route.
