Salmon Come Home at the Hoy Creek Hatchery.
Join us for a day of fun and learning, where attendees can visit the fish hatchery, see salmon fry, watch a live salmon dissection, and learn about the various plants and wildlife that inhabit Hoy Creek Linear Park. Other activities include the popular return of Angela Brown’s Nylon Zoo, musical entertainment, and the Explore Nature Contest.
Visitors can also stop by and have a chat with members of various community stewardship groups, the Hoy-Scott Watershed Society, and City staff from our Environment and Parks divisions.
Parking Information - Parking near the trail is limited. Visitors are encouraged to walk or take public transit when possible. View the Map (PDF).
- By transit: Take SkyTrain to the Lafarge–Douglas Station. From there, cross Pinetree Way and follow Guildford Way to the trailhead entrance.
- By car: Free parking is available on Sundays in the aboveground City staff lot by Coquitlam City Hall, accessible from Burlington Drive. This lot is a short walk to the trail entrance across Guildford Way. Additional parking is available in Town Centre Park.
