Celebrate Canada Day in Coquitlam

Make your way to Town Centre Park on July 1 for a fun day of community and connection to celebrate Canada Day!

COQUITLAM, B.C., June 4, 2026 – Make your way to Town Centre Park on July 1 for a fun day of community and connection to celebrate Canada Day! 

Coquitlam’s biggest and most exciting event of the year is back with live music, delicious food, and activities for all ages. Canada Day at Town Centre Park is the perfect chance to come together with your community and celebrate what makes it such a great place to live, work and play in.

Activities for All

Starting at noon, the day is packed with fun activities for all to try. Experience two stages of musical acts, a soccer viewing zone, City and community exhibits, food trucks, an eco zone, adventure games, e-bike and scooter demonstrations, full-site liquor service, and a fireworks finale at 10 p.m.
 
Get ready to dance the night away with Famous Players, hitting the main stage at 8:15 p.m. This elite ensemble is known for their bold and unforgettable performances that cover every era. From R&B and rock to top 40 dance hits and more, their style and non-stop momentum is sure to keep people up and moving.

Eat, Play and Explore

The festival grounds will be home to:

  • Adventure Games – Stop by and try exciting active games for a variety of ages, skills and abilities, including mini golf, hockey, football and more. Test out some two-wheeled vehicles at the Lime scooter and e-bike demo area. You’ll also find the Bike Valet here to keep your bike secure while you’re at the event.
  • Eat Street – Our food truck partners offer a delightful array of multicultural cuisines catering to all dietary needs and preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, Halal, kosher and gluten-free options. 
  • Brew Corner – Event sponsor Mariner Brewing returns to serve a variety of craft beers and a guest tap from NiceLife Cocktails in a relaxed patio setting.
  • Eco Zone – Connect with the City’s environment and Park Spark team, as well as local groups, through interactive, hands-on activities that highlight local ecosystems – sponsored by BC Hydro
  • Coquitlam Lane – Take some fun pictures in the giggle booth and learn about the Coquitlam Tourism highlights, first response services and what the City is doing in Accessibility and Inclusion. 
  • The Meadow – Explore various organizations, cultural groups and corporate partners from the community or relax in the BCLC Pavilion seating area, proudly brought to you by our Presenting Partner, BCLC. The Meadow Stage will feature fun and interactive performances throughout the day.

Coquitlam strives to ensure Canada Day is an inclusive experience for people of all ages and abilities, including:

  • Designated accessible pickup/drop-off locations
  • ASL interpretation during the opening and closing ceremonies at the Main Stage
  • Sensory sensitivity area for a quiet chill zone 
  • Wheelchair friendly water bottle fill up stations 
  • Wheelchair accessible picnic tables near Eat Street 
  • Multilingual, including French-speaking, volunteers and staff

Getting to Canada Day in Coquitlam

Town Centre Park is easy to access by transit, bike, or on foot. While limited free parking is available, we encourage those that can to use transit or our convenient bike valet to avoid the congestion. Plan your trip and view transportation options at coquitlam.ca/CanadaDay

Pinetree Way between Guildford Way and David Avenue will be closed to traffic from 9:30 – 11 p.m. for the fireworks display.
