Construction is scheduled to begin on July 31 and will be ongoing until late September (weather dependent).
Due to traffic volumes, construction will take place during the nighttime hours.
Work will take place Monday to Friday between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with occasional weekend evening work as well.
During active construction, traffic on Lougheed Highway will be limited to a single lane in each direction and there may be occasional turn restrictions at intersections.

Lougheed Highway Multi-Use Pathway
A new 3.5 to 4-metre-wide multi-use pathway (MUP) will be constructed along the north side of Lougheed Highway from Pinetree Way to Westwood Street.
The new section of infrastructure will improve pedestrian, cycling and micromobility accessibility and it connects with the existing MUP on Pinetree Way.
Construction is expected to begin in late April and will be completed in late summer/fall. The project has been awarded to Jack Cewe Construction Ltd.
There will be minor traffic impacts during construction. The westbound curb lane on Lougheed Highway will be closed during active construction, and traffic detours in place when work takes place at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Ponderosa Street.
