Burke Village park is a future park that will serve an important role connecting the future Burke Mountain Village and the new Burke Mountain Community Centre.

Centrally located in the Village next to the future community centre, the park will provide a critical pedestrian link from outside the Village directly into the heart of the neighbourhood for both neighbourhood residents and visitors to the area.

Currently in the final design stages, the park will include:

  • A splash pad with interactive ground jets
  • Flexible and open gathering space with moveable seating options
  • An accessible pathway through the park
  • A dedicated Streamside Protection and Enhancement Area (SPEA) to run alongside the park's waterway.

With schematic design complete, which is a typical first phase of the architectural process, the facility and park are moving into the final design stages. The detailed design will be refined through the end of 2025 and shared with the community. Early site work and construction will start in 2026. Both the facility and the park are expected to open in 2029.

Next Steps

Burke Village Park is being designed in tandem with the Burke Mountain Community Centre and both are currently in the final design stages. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026 and both the park and facility are expected to open in 2029.
