Visiting Our Facilities

When you attend one of our facilities, you’ll notice that things are a bit different. The only public allowed inside  is pre-registered patrons, and we have assigned different entrances for the type of activity to ensure we can limit the number of human interactions and reduce potential risk of exposure to COVID-19.

Please visit the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex web page to view a map indicating which entrance to use for the particular activity you registered.

You will also find more details there about the safety measures in place to protect staff and our participants, as well as a list of the fitness equipment available.

Details on the different entrances for City Centre Aquatic Complex entrance are explained on that web page.

IMPORTANT: All registered user will be asked to NOT loiter in the facilities. There will be queues for arrival, and once a facility user has finished their session, staff will be requesting them to leave promptly.

Stay Active Online

While our recreation facilities are currently closed to the public, Coquitlam’s recreation team is still committed to the health and well-being of our community. The World Health Organization recommends that adults get 150 minutes - that’s 30 minutes at least five times per week - of moderate-intensity physical activity throughout the week.

Waiver Forms for Specialty Registered Programs

If you’re attending any of our prenatal classes, a PARmed-X for Pregnancy Form (PDF) will need to be completed prior to working out.

For other specialty classes, you will be notified at registration if you need to fill out a Par-Q Plus Form (PDF) - "The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone." Depending on your answers, you may also be required to visit your doctor before attending our fitness classes.
