Coquitlam homeowners have a few days left to pay their 2024 utility bills.
COQUITLAM, B.C., March 26, 2024 – Coquitlam homeowners have a few days left to pay their 2024 utility bills.
Utility bills were issued at the end of February and cover the costs for water service, sewer service, garbage and green waste collection. The cost for these utility services is charged separately from property taxes and supports operating costs as well as the replacement of aging infrastructure such as pipes, reservoirs and pumps.
Utility payments are due April 2, 2024. After this date, a five per cent penalty will be added to amounts unpaid.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
