COQUITLAM, B.C., September 15, 2025 – As part of its ongoing commitment to service excellence, the City is inviting selected residents to participate in the 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey, now underway.

Led by Ipsos, a trusted research firm, the survey gathers feedback to help guide City decision-making, from budgeting and planning to the delivery of day-to-day services. The survey runs until October 5, 2025.

What the Survey Covers

Participants will be asked about their quality of life, satisfaction with City services, and the value they feel they receive for their tax dollars. The survey also explores views on important community issues such as housing, transportation and infrastructure. In addition, it gathers feedback on customer service experiences and how residents prefer to connect with the City. The information received helps to ensure services and communication channels continue to meet community needs.

Who Takes Part?

Ipsos randomly selects Coquitlam residents to ensure a representative cross-section of the community. Participants may be surveyed by phone or through a mailed letter inviting them to complete the survey online.

Protecting Your Privacy

Participation is voluntary and confidential. While surveyors may ask for basic demographic information such as age range or neighbourhood to ensure diverse representation, they will never request financial information or payments. If you are unsure about the legitimacy of a request, contact the City at 604-927-6774 or email engagement@coquitlam.ca.

About the Survey

Coquitlam has worked with Ipsos since 2003 to track community satisfaction, identify service priorities and guide decision-making. Beginning in 2023, the survey shifted to a two-year cycle to reduce engagement fatigue while continuing to gather valuable public input.

As part of the City’s commitment to transparency and accountability, results from past surveys are available at coquitlam.ca/CommunitySurvey, with the 2025 results to be shared this fall.

Stay Involved Year-Round

Coquitlam residents are encouraged to stay connected and share their input through the City’s many engagement channels, including Let’s Talk Coquitlam (letstalkcoquitlam.ca), the CoquitlamConnect app, and by subscribing to email updates through coquitlam.ca/connect. Council meetings are also open to the public and livestreamed at coquitlam.ca/webcasts.
