The new Maillardville Community Centre (MCC) offers programs for Coquitlam residents of all ages. The new 22,000 sq. ft. facility doubles the size of the previous community centre and features the City's first dedicated gymnasium, children’s program area with large covered outdoor space, multipurpose rooms, sprung-floor active studio and much more. Sports drop-ins, fitness classes, cooking classes, social activities and other educational programs are all available at MCC.
MCC Volunteer Ambassador
Ambassadors act as helpers at MCC by greeting community members, providing wayfinding services for guests and answering basic questions about the facility and its programs.
Program Assistants – Sports
Assist recreation leaders in introducing kids to various sports, such as tennis, basketball and soccer. Participants will learn about the FUNdamentals of the sport by participating in engaging drills and fun games. Each program will focus on the importance of skill building and inclusive play.
Program Assistants – Arts
Assist recreation leaders in introducing and teaching children about the wonderful world of art. Participants will be using paint, crayons, glue and glitter to create amazing works of art.
Activity Leaders – Arts, Crafts, Social & Culture, Cards and Games
Responsibilities include teaching games and skills appropriate to the activity, coordinating and supervising activities as required, leading by example and attending sessions regularly.
Submit artwork that can be displayed in MCC to welcome guests as they visit the facility. Some ideas include artwork with the word welcome in a different language or languages, artwork of people engaging in recreational activities or artwork that depicts the Maillardville community. Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older and successfully complete the application process, which includes:

- Reference Check
- Orientation Session
- Other qualifications may be required depending on activity
