Pinetree Community Centre provides a vast array of volunteer opportunities including dance, sports and general interest programs. Our fun and interactive approach to teaching provides participants and volunteers an opportunity to learn and share their skills.
Sports
Sports programs offer physical fitness benefits along with skill development. Popular programs are basketball and badminton lessons, where skills and games are taught to participants of all ages. As a volunteer you will assist program staff, engage participants and help develop their skills.
General Interest
Programs like Kids Stage Theatre, Science Wonders and Young Chefs on the Run encourage volunteers to share their special interest and skills in science and arts while providing assistance staff and participants. Volunteers help staff and may be asked to provide one to one support to participants who may need extra help.
Fitness Program Assistant
The Fitness Program Assistant works with the Recreation Instructor to deliver exceptional service to participants in the City of Coquitlam group fitness programs. This position will set up and take down classes, keep classes running on schedule, and provide positive encouragement to the participants.

Qualifications Required
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older and successfully complete the application process, which includes:

- Reference Check
- Orientation Session
- Other qualifications may be required depending on activity
