Join us to celebrate National AccessAbility Week with a variety of accessible and inclusive activities from May 24 to 30, 2026! The week starts with the City's AccessAbility Resource Fair on May 24 and continues with programming across the city for the rest of the week.
AccessAbility Resource Fair
Now in its fourth year, the AccessAbility Resource Fair is a free event that brings together local organizations from across the community, making it easier for residents to connect with services, learn what’s available and explore opportunities to get involved.
There will be free hands-on workshops, concession, door prizes, a fire truck onsite to explore, and the first 100 people to arrive will get a doughnut from Doughnut Love. Cheer on SD 43's Unified Sports teams as they play hoops with Coquitlam Fire.
Visitors can speak directly with local organizations and learn about accessible resources, programs and services available in Coquitlam and across the Lower Mainland, including the City’s newly adopted Accessibility and Inclusion Plan and Recreation Inclusion at the City.
Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the event will feature American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and other accessible communication methods available during scheduled activities to support participation. There will also be childminding throughout the day so participants can attend workshops. Please pre-register here as space is limited.
