These are responsible for the strong "pool smell" and can cause skin and eye irritation. A pre-swim shower allows chlorine to work more effectively.

  • Yes, please use soap to remove body oils, cosmetics, and bacteria before entering the pool. Soap is available in the shower area. Washing thoroughly ensures a cleaner, safer pool environment for everyone.

  • If you don’t plan to get your hair wet, washing it isn’t necessary. Wearing a swim cap is also an option to help maintain pool cleanliness.

The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
