Coquitlam’s integrated planning framework comprises separate but complementary planning processes that support the City’s overall vision and mission, and enable the City to align its activities and resources to achieve the strategic goals and annual business plan priorities set by Council.

Robinson Memorial Park Cemetery is in Southwest Coquitlam owned and operated by the City. The need to develop a Cemetery Services Plan was identified in the Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan.

The City is developing a user-friendly document that will distil and map out the complex process of funding, designing, constructing and operating more than 25 planned facility projects.

Council approved the City’s Multiculturalism Strategic Plan in July 2011. The Plan was developed under a matching grant with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Parks, Recreation & Culture Plans & Strategies
The Master Plan tells the story of parks, recreation and culture in the City of Coquitlam. It shows where we are today, what we do well, where there are opportunities to improve, and how to provide the best balance of services for Coquitlam residents. Supporting plans and strategies within different service areas of PRC assist the department in achieving the high-level goals outlined in the Master Plan.
