The City maintains an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure:
- On July 30, 2018, Coquitlam Council approved an update to the Zoning Bylaw to amend provisions for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
- On October 29, 2018 an additional amendment was approved to:
- Establish a requirement for EV charging infrastructure in new multi-family developments. The requirement, excludes two-family, triplex and fourplex developments, where the required number of parking spaces is less than the number of dwelling units.
- Add two new definitions for EV energy management system and EV supply equipment, to provide clarity on these terms.
