Coquitlam Fire/Rescue is an established fire department comprised of over 160 career firefighters. We are proud to serve our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our highly trained personnel are able to deal with many different types of emergency situations. Our crews are trained in fire suppression and as first-responders for medical emergencies. We respond to motor vehicle incidents, hazmat situations, and calls for general assistance. We also have specialized teams for different types of rescue situations, including:
- Confined space rescue
- High-angle rescue
- Swift water rescue
- Trench rescue

911 & Dispatch Services
E-Comm is the 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and provides dispatch services for Coquitlam Fire/Rescue. This means E-Comm answers initial 911 calls and then transfers the call to another E-Comm representative to dispatch Coquitlam Fire/Rescue’s services as required.
