Coquitlam’s Corporate Partners program offers exciting opportunities for local businesses to play a pivotal role in community events, fostering a stronger, more connected Coquitlam.

COQUITLAM, B.C., August 28, 2024 – Coquitlam’s Corporate Partners program offers exciting opportunities for local businesses to play a pivotal role in community events, fostering a stronger, more connected Coquitlam.

By partnering with the City, businesses can deepen their local ties, enjoy increased exposure, and help ensure community events continue to thrive, benefiting everyone involved.

Unlike traditional advertising, sponsorship creates deeper, more experiential connections. Each agreement is customized to ensure that sponsorship opportunities align with business objectives – with strong partnerships, everyone wins.

Connect with your Community

Since its launch in 2015, Coquitlam’s Corporate Partners Program has grown into one of the premier municipal sponsorship initiatives in the province. The City’s many events and programs, many of which are offered free of charge thanks to the meaningful partnerships we’ve forged, are widely recognized across metro Vancouver. Whether though entry-level sponsorships or prestigious Presenting Partnerships and Naming Rights, businesses have found rewarding ways to make a lasting impact on the community while helping to elevate public events.

Some standout partnerships include FortisBC’s support of Coquitlam’s Block Party program, Emperor Stone’s sponsorship of Tree Spree tree giveaways, and the various local businesses that sponsor Canada Day in Coquitlam, the biggest event in the tri-cities.

Discover the Power of Partnership

Becoming a Corporate Partner is about engaging with the community in a way that leaves a lasting impression. In return, Coquitlam offers a suite of benefits tailored to individual business needs, including on-site activations at major events, logo visibility across digital and print platforms, and recognition on the City’s social media channels and website.

Fall 2024 Partnership Opportunities

  • Salmon Come Home: Support this beloved family-friendly community event celebrating the annual return of salmon to Hoy Creek. There is an opportunity to fit all marketing goals and budgets.
  • Lights at Lafarge: Get involved in the opening night event of Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor lights display, featuring approximately 1 million lights.
    • Light Display Sponsorship: The City is pleased to present an exclusive opportunity for select businesses to sponsor this year’s winter lights display. This significant and unique attraction is expected to draw 540,000 people over the four-month display. Interested organizations must complete a Request for Expressions of Interest. The RFEI is posted on the bid opportunities page.
    • Kick-off Event: Have your name in lights at this year’s Lights at Lafarge by sponsoring the kick-off event, complete with roving performers, live entertainment, and more.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
