Coquitlam offers programming, activities and services specifically for residents 50 years and older. Our pavilions are adult-oriented centres with a focus on programming for older adults. While our community centres offer options for all ages, social programming for older adults is also offered at Maillardville Community Centre

Pavilion Advisory Boards 

Activities at Glen Pine and Dogwood Pavilion are supported by non-profit groups who represent the interests of seniors in Coquitlam.

The Glen Pine 50 Plus Society is a non-profit organization that promotes year-round activities to satisfy the cultural, physical, educational and social needs of senior adults through support of activity groups and programs at Glen Pine Pavilion.

 Dogwood Pavilion Seniors' Society is a non-profit society that hosts over 50 groups and clubs to support the cultural, physical, educational and social needs of adults aged 50+ in Coquitlam. Activity groups at Dogwood Pavilion are led by the society’s volunteer leaders and supported by their Board of Directors.

Senior Services Strategy

The Senior Services Strategy (PDF) guides the provision of park, recreation and culture services and programs, ensuring relevant, responsive and accessible opportunities for this diverse and growing population over the next 10 to 15 years. The strategy was adopted in 2018.
