Annual Maintenance at City Centre Aquatic Complex

Exterior of CCAC

Coquitlam’s City Centre Aquatic Complex will undergo its annual maintenance closure on the pool, fitness centre and café starting Tuesday, September 2.

COQUITLAM, B.C., August 12, 2025 – Coquitlam’s City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC) at 1210 Pinetree Way will undergo its annual maintenance closure on the pool, fitness centre and café starting Tuesday, September 2.

The fitness centre will reopen on September 9, and the pool and café are scheduled to reopen on October 6.

From September 9 to October 5, the fitness centre will be open:

  • Monday to Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Sundays: Closed September 2 to October 5

Note: The front desk will close 30 minutes before the fitness centre closing time, and no further admissions to the facility will be accepted during that time.

Maintenance Vital for Daily Public Use

The closure is necessary for maintenance and cleaning that cannot be completed while the facility is open, and ensures a safe environment for staff and the public, reduces the likelihood of equipment failures and extends the life of this important City asset.

Alternative Options Available

Patrons can still swim in Coquitlam at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex at 633 Poirier Street. Hours and details are available at coquitlam.ca/PSLC.

Outdoor swimming is also available at Mundy Park Pool at 655 Hillcrest Street until October 5. Visit coquitlam.ca/MundyParkPool for all the details.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
