Senior Aquatic Leaders take on additional responsibilities, including managing teams and larger programs. As a Recreation Leader, you'll help create and run fitness programs at a local recreation facility, guiding and encouraging others to participate. You'll work closely with a team, assist in leading activities, and take on responsibilities like managing the facility during your shifts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys growing their leadership skills, working with others, and contributing to the community. Plus, you'll gain valuable experience in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities.

The City actively hires Recreation Instructors to join our team in various programs, including cooking, baking, woodworking, lapidary, drama, skating, and fitness. Recreation Instructors create and lead engaging classes tailored to their interests and availability. The Junior Firefighter Program, offered by Coquitlam Fire/Rescue in partnership with School District No. 43, is a chance for students in grades 11 and 12 to explore a future career in firefighting. This hands-on program provides practical training in areas like aerial operations, auto extrication, first aid, and high-angle rescues – skills you need to be a firefighter.
