After any Regular Council meeting is adjourned, up to 15 minutes are allotted for the public to ask Council questions related to any item on the agenda.

Accessibility

Accessibility is at the forefront of the services that the City of Coquitlam provides. We are committed to continuously removing any barriers to access through our policies, facilities, and public spaces. Delivering community facilities, infrastructure, neighbourhood plans and community recreation programs for people of all ages and ability are just a few examples of our commitment to accessibility.

Council Chambers now has a hearing loop installed for members of the public who use T-Coil supported hearing aids or cochlear implants. A hearing loop is a special type of sound system that supports people who use hearing aids and cochlear implants. The loop is installed in Council Chambers, as well as the Reception Desk. When you come to a Council Meeting you just simply need to turn your hearing aid on to the T-Coil setting if this is not automatic. The sound will come directly into your hearing aid or cochlear implant for you to fully participate in the event. There are signs at the entrance of Council Chambers in City Hall with more information available.

If you are hard of hearing but do not have T-Coil supported hearing aids or cochlear implants, please speak to a member of the Clerk's Office for additional support. You can contact the Clerk's Office for further information.
