Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

In municipal government, the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) operates similarly to an executive office in a corporation. The Chief Administrative Officer, who is directly accountable to City Council, oversees the organization’s broad requirements, provides advice to Council and executes their direction, and works with the Deputy CAO and all departments to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of City services.
